Comments This selection was imported for the Foundation Plant Services public collection in 1984 by Dr. Harold Olmo (Professor, UC Davis) from the Douro region of Portugal. This selection, formerly known at FPS as Casculho S1, was released as Casculho 01 in 1993 after successful testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program. Casculho 01 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS to qualify for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard, where it will be known as Casculho 01.1.
