‘Winters’ is an almond [Prunus dulcis Miller (D.A. Webb)] cultivar discovered by Kester, et al., from the breeding program of the University of California at Davis, Davis, CA. The name ‘Winters’ refers to the town of Winters, CA, which is the site of the University of California Wolfskill Experimental Orchards where the ‘Winters’ cultivar was initially tested.
